The Michelle O'Neill Foundation, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization (exempt from Federal Income tax under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code) to benefit children with cancer and special needs
Established in 1997 in memory of a courageous young woman whose love of life and incredible courage have inspired us to carry out her wish of helping others and letting people know that we care
The Michelle O’Neill Foundation hosts an annual volleyball tournament fundraiser to benefit children with cancer and special needs on the first Saturday after Labor Day in Long Beach, NY. People gather to play volleyball and/or just enjoy watching the competitive and recreational games and listen to music. We have a raffle of amazing prizes, as well as a 50/50 raffle. “Smiley Wear” merchandise is offered for sale. We’ve grown – with your help! At our 1st Annual Michelle O’Neill volleyball tournament in 1997, we put up 11 nets, ordered 200 shirts. At our 25th anniversary fundraiser In 2021, 364 competitive and recreational teams played volleyball across 58 nets, ordered several thousand shirts, and we raised an incredible amount of donations to benefit children with cancer and special needs and the oncology organizations that serve them.
